What you need to know before cleaning

How long the cleaning takes

Our prices are fixed and based on the scope of work and the time it takes. Individual jobs have a set amount: cleaning the oven costs 319 CZK even when it takes an hour and a half. The price of a flat cleaning follows from the number of rooms and bathrooms and corresponds to roughly three or four hours of work in a smaller flat.

When more time is needed

If it turns out on site that the scope is larger — a flat nobody has cleaned in a while, baked-on grease in the kitchen, limescale in the bathroom — we say so at the start and agree with you. An extra hour costs 319 CZK. Up to forty minutes over the plan the price does not change at all; beyond that we tell you immediately, so you do not find out at payment.

How much time to allow

When you place the order, the approximate duration is shown next to the price. For a two-room flat allow about three hours, for a larger one proportionally more. Add-ons extend the time: the oven and the extractor hood add nearly an hour, because the product needs to work. If the cleaning runs long through our fault, you pay nothing extra.

Deep clean

We rarely use the term "deep clean", and there is a reason: every cleaning we do is a full one. What people usually call a deep clean is our standard cleaning plus add-ons — the oven inside for 319 CZK, the extractor hood for 319 CZK, windows at 199 CZK each, emptying and wiping the cupboards inside. You order exactly what you need instead of a package you will half use.

A flat left alone for a long time

It is a different matter when nobody has cleaned the flat for years, nobody has lived in it, or something has happened. That cannot be priced by the number of rooms, because the condition decides, not the size. It is agreed individually and usually charged by the hour at 319 CZK.

How we judge it in advance

Describe the condition in the order note, ideally with a photo of the kitchen and bathroom. Then we set aside enough time in advance instead of stretching the appointment on site. In rented flats around the ZČU campus in Bory this is standard practice at every change of tenant.

Why the price can change

In most orders the price stays exactly as you saw it when booking. It can change for three reasons, and you hear about each of them before work starts, not at payment.

Wrong window count

The most common case. If it is one or two uncounted sashes we do not even raise it and the price stands. For a bigger difference we tell you — a window costs 199 CZK. Watch out for box windows, common in the older buildings of Pilsen city centre and Jižní Předměstí: they have two rows of sashes behind one another, so the work is roughly double.

A flat after renovation

A standard cleaning was ordered, but the flat is full of construction dust. That is removed differently — dry and in several passes — and it carries a rate of 39 CZK per square metre with a minimum order of 1,000 CZK. If it was only a cosmetic repair without sanding, the rate does not apply.

Level of soiling

When the scope is clearly larger than ordered, we say how many hours are needed and offer extra hours at 319 CZK each. We usually see it right at the start. If the misjudgement is ours, you do not pay for it.

How we count windows

One window means one window opening, regardless of the number of sashes or the size: a double-sash window is one window and costs 199 CZK. The price covers the glass on both sides, the frame and the sill. Pane size does not affect the price.

Box windows

In the older parts of Pilsen — the tenement houses of the city centre and Jižní Předměstí — box windows with two rows of sashes are common. Four glass surfaces are cleaned plus the space between them, where dust and insects collect over the winter, so they count as two windows. Please note it in the order: it matters more for scheduling than the window count itself.

Balconies and winter

A balcony door counts as one window. A glazed balcony is counted by individual openings, the same as windows in the flat. In winter we normally clean windows from the inside only, because water freezes on cold glass and products leave marks — and the price is lower in that period. Outside cleaning is better planned after the last frosts.

Steam cleaner

A steam cleaner is not a universal tool. It works where heat dissolves grease and kills what a cloth cannot reach: tile grout, the space behind sanitary ware, joints around the shower tray. Say in the order note if you would like it used, and we bring it along.

Where it genuinely helps

On tiles and grout in the bathroom, on the kitchen splashback, and around the toilet and the base of the shower. It is also useful in flats where someone in the household is allergic to cleaning products: steam replaces part of the chemistry.

Where we do not use it

On parquet and laminate, where moisture gets into the joints; on old grout, which the pressure washes out; on painted surfaces and on stucco, common in the older buildings of the Pilsen centre. Silicone joints tolerate steam, but only briefly. If in doubt, the cleaner tests a hidden spot first — reversing damage from steam is usually impossible.

Wet and dry vacuum cleaner

A wet-dry vacuum picks up what an ordinary one cannot: fine construction dust, water after a leak, and the moisture left after wet cleaning of carpets and upholstery. We bring it when the order calls for it — you do not need to own one.

After renovation

This is where it matters most. Construction dust is fine enough to pass through a household filter and settle back in the room, so we use a filter suited to it and change it during the work. That is part of why cleaning after renovation is charged separately, at 39 CZK per square metre.

Carpets and upholstery

For carpets and sofas we use extraction rather than plain vacuuming: the product goes into the fibre and is drawn back out with the dirt. Carpet cleaning costs 89 CZK per square metre, a sofa 825 CZK, with a minimum order of 650 CZK. The surface is dry to the touch within three or four hours with normal airing — a hairdryer or hot air would damage the fabric more than the dirt did.

When two cleaners come

Two people are sent automatically where one would work too long — large flats, family houses and jobs whose planned duration exceeds roughly ten hours. This does not change the price: you pay for the scope of work, not for the number of people.

When you ask for it yourself

You can request a pair for a smaller cleaning as well. The most common reason is timing: the flat is handed over at a specific hour and has to be finished in two hours rather than four. Just write it in the order note — it does not affect the price, but we need to know in advance to plan the route.

Houses and staircases

In houses in Litice, Černice or Křimice there is a second floor and a staircase, so a pair is the rule rather than the exception. The same goes for cleaning after renovation, where the work is dry and done in several passes: with two people the dust does not settle back onto surfaces that are already finished.

Cancelling and changing an order

After you place an order we do not call you. A confirmation appears on screen and an e-mail arrives with links to pay, edit or cancel. If an SMS follows later, it means a specific person has been assigned to your order.

Up to 12 hours before the start

Until then you cancel or change the order yourself in your account, without phoning. You can move the date, add or drop add-on services and adjust the scope — the price recalculates immediately. With less than twelve hours to go, write or call us: by then the team is scheduled and the appointment is moved by hand.

Notes in the order

We read what you put in the additional information field. We reply to a question; to a note such as "there is a dog in the flat" or "shower instead of a bath" we do not call, but the team takes it into account. That is quicker for both sides than a phone call with the same outcome. A single visit can also be skipped without cancelling a recurring order.

Methods of payment

You pay after the cleaning; we take no deposit, so you see the result first. There are two ways: cash on the spot or card online.

Paying by card

With a card, the amount is only held on the card before the cleaning, not charged. If you cancel the order, the hold is released. The final amount is taken after the work is finished, and if you added or dropped anything along the way, the adjusted sum is taken. The receipt arrives by e-mail and is also in your account.

Companies and paperwork

For legal entities we issue an invoice with a payment term. With a recurring arrangement we invoice monthly in one document rather than per visit, which saves more work in accounting than any discount. If you need the receipt in a company name or a different name, write it in the note before the cleaning. The minimum order for a flat cleaning in Pilsen is 959 CZK, for furniture cleaning 650 CZK, and for cleaning after renovation 1,000 CZK.

Can one person clean for 6–8 hours

Yes, this is an ordinary situation. Cleaning is not a sprint: someone who does it daily paces the work so it holds all day. Breaks are part of the job and are not on your bill — you pay for the scope of work, not for minutes.

Why quality does not drop towards the end

Because of the order of work. Products are applied first where they need to sit — the oven, limescale in the bathroom — and the cleaner works elsewhere meanwhile. The physically demanding parts fall in the first half, the finishing touches at the end. That is why the result does not show whether it was a three-hour or an eight-hour job.

When we send a second person

When the planned duration exceeds roughly ten hours, in family houses with staircases, and for jobs tied to a fixed handover time. You can request a pair yourself; the price does not change, because the scope is what is counted. If it becomes clear along the way that one person will not finish in reasonable time, we contact you and send the second.

Who our cleaners are

We work with permanent people, not with casual help for a single job. The reason is practical: the difference between a first and a hundredth cleaning shows in the result immediately, and someone who stays with us knows how a panel-block bathroom in Košutka behaves and how the original parquet in a tenement house in Jižní Předměstí does.

How people join us

Every applicant goes through an interview, a trial cleaning alongside an experienced colleague, and a check of their details. The training is not a formality — it is mostly about the order of work and about surfaces that tolerate neither water nor ordinary chemistry. Many of our people have five to six hundred cleanings behind them.

Ratings and a permanent team

After each job you can rate the work. If the rating is low we get in touch ourselves and find out what happened, rather than waiting for a complaint. With a recurring cleaning the same person comes: you do not have to explain where things are every time, and the same scope takes less time than on the first visit.

Following the agreed scope

The standard scope is written down, but life is more specific than a list. Will we wash a light fitting or a wall that is not in the basic scope? Usually yes. Do we always charge for it? No.

Who decides

A small thing that takes a few minutes simply gets done. When it is work that will noticeably extend the cleaning — all the windows in the flat, emptying and wiping every cupboard — we say so on site and agree with you before starting. The decision is always yours and it is made before the work, not after.

What we do not do

We do not work at heights that would need scaffolding or a lift, and we do not clean windows from the outside on upper floors. We do not remove waste in quantities beyond an ordinary bin, and we do not take on repairs or assembly — there is a handyman service for that. And we do not clean where construction work is under way: afterwards yes, at 39 CZK per square metre. If you are unsure whether something falls within the scope, write it in the note and we will answer before confirming the order.

Cleaning after renovation

The goal is simple: a flat you can live in. Not "swept", but free of construction dust on surfaces, in corners, on frames and on light fittings. The price is 39 CZK per square metre with a minimum order of 1,000 CZK, and it is fixed and known before work starts.

Why the rate is different

Construction dust contains sharp particles from sanding and cutting. A damp cloth spreads them into streaks and leaves fine scratches on lacquered surfaces. The work therefore goes dry and from the top down — ceilings, light fittings, upper edges, then walls and frames, then windows and floors last, and all of it in several passes. The vacuum filter is changed during the job.

When to book and what stays with you

Best after the tradespeople have left and the materials are gone, but before the furniture moves in. Removing building rubble is not included — that needs a skip. Window cleaning at 199 CZK per window always pays off after a renovation, because glue and paint residue stays on the glass.

When the cleaning starts

The time you enter in the order is the time the cleaning starts, not the arrival time. That is why the team arrives about ten minutes earlier: changing shoes, bringing in equipment and walking through the flat with you takes a few minutes, and at the stated hour work should already be under way.

When you need an exact time

If an early arrival does not suit you — because someone sleeps or works in the flat until the last moment — write it in the order note and the team will arrive to the minute. It also helps to mention if entry is through a reception desk or a keypad: otherwise the start slips into phone calls at the door.

The "any time of day" option

In the order you can say the exact hour does not matter. We contact you the day before and set the time to fit the team’s route. This is practical for empty flats before a handover and in outlying parts of Pilsen — Litice, Černice or Křimice — where the choice of free slots is otherwise smaller.

Furniture and upholstery cleaning

We clean by extraction at your place: the product is worked into the fibre and drawn back out together with the loosened dirt. It is not wet washing — with normal airing the surface is dry to the touch in three to four hours. A sofa costs 825 CZK, a double mattress 1,100 CZK, carpet 89 CZK per square metre, and the minimum order is 650 CZK.

What will not come out

Not every stain goes, and a hundred per cent result cannot be guaranteed. A spot scorched by an iron, fabric bleached by sunlight, or a stain several years old whose dye has bonded to the fibre will stay visible. Worn edges and damaged foam inside are not fixed by cleaning. We always test a hidden spot and give our estimate before starting, not at payment.

What we do guarantee

That the procedure is followed and the product matches the material — one for leather and natural fibres, another for synthetics, so please state the upholstery type in the order. In the great majority of cases the piece is noticeably fresher and cleaner afterwards. If we can see on site that the job is not worth doing, we say so straight away.

Complaints about cleaning quality

We accept complaints about quality within three days of the cleaning. If you were not at home, or noticed an obvious shortcoming only a week later, write anyway — we treat the period as a guide, not as an excuse.

How it works

Write what specifically was wrong and attach a photo if you can. We speak to the person who was at your place, look at the photos and come back within one working day with a solution. In work done by hand in someone else’s home something is occasionally missed, and it is more sensible to put it right than to prove that everything was in order.

Damage and insurance

If damage occurred during the cleaning, it is settled through liability insurance — so you need not worry about letting someone near a glass cabinet or expensive equipment. Report it as early as you can and leave the item in place until we have agreed: otherwise the extent is far harder to establish. We read the rating you leave after a cleaning.
