An empty flat is cleaned differently

Once the wardrobes and beds are gone, surfaces appear that nobody has seen for years: strips of dust along the walls, worn patches in the floor, marks from furniture feet and cobwebs in the corner behind the wardrobe. What a move leaves behind

We remove tape if it does not take the varnish with it — on old paintwork we say so before starting, because stripping paint is worse than leaving a trace of adhesive. Boxes and packaging we do not take away; a larger volume needs a skip.

The old flat or the new one

In the old one it is about the handover — that has its own page, end-of-tenancy cleaning, describing what a landlord looks at. In the new one the task is different: to wash the space before the furniture arrives, because afterwards the skirting boards and corners are out of reach.

Time and price
