Window cleaning in Pilsen
We charge per window, not per hour: 199 CZK for one. The price includes the glass on both sides, the frame and the sill, so you know the cost in advance — count the windows instead of guessing how long the work will take. The minimum order is 959 CZK, so with a small number of windows it pays to combine the job with a routine clean, or to have the cellar and hallway windows done too.
Box windows in tenements
The town centre and Jižní Předměstí still hold many flats with original box windows. They have two sashes one behind the other with a gap between them where dust and insects collect over the winter, so four panes plus the cavity are cleaned rather than two. Work goes top down and the cavity is vacuumed dry first: reach in with a wet cloth and the dust turns to mud that dries into edges. In the new builds on Bory it is the opposite — large panes with no glazing bars, but often awkward to reach, so height and safe access decide the job.
Why Pilsen washes windows in spring
Most orders come after winter. Through the heating season the glass collects a mixture of dust from traffic and from the Bory industrial zone; rain only spreads it into patches that grip harder once dry. So it is worth washing after the last frosts rather than during them — on cold glass water freezes and solvents leave marks. The other sensible date is autumn, before the heating starts.
When you can do it yourself and when not
Up to the second floor and with ordinary windows most people manage with a squeegee and lukewarm water with a drop of detergent. Booking pays off with box windows, where the work is four times as much, with the large panes of new builds, and anywhere you would have to work from a sill or a ladder. Window cleaning can be combined with a routine clean in one visit, which is the usual answer around the university rentals at changeover: one visit and the flat is ready for handover, windows included.

Access to the windows from both sides and a clear sill. For flats on the ground and first floor ordinary access from inside is enough; for higher floors and windows that do not open fully, please put it in the note so the crew brings the right equipment. Water and products come with us.
