Carpet and upholstery cleaning in Pilsen
Extraction cleaning is wet work: the product is worked into the fibre and drawn back out together with the dirt it has loosened. A sofa costs 825 CZK, carpet cleaning 89 CZK per square metre, a double mattress 1 100 CZK. The minimum order is 650 CZK.
What we clean
Sofa suites including corner sections, armchairs, chairs and upholstered headboards. Mattresses, rugs and fitted carpet. Pram upholstery and child car seats. Every piece is first tested on a hidden spot: leather and natural fibres need a different product from synthetics, so state the type of covering in the order.
How long it takes to dry
Wet cleaning does not mean soaked furniture. With ordinary airing the surface is dry to the touch in three to four hours and fully dry by the evening. In winter, when the windows cannot be thrown open, it takes longer — which is why the slot is best booked for the morning. Drying with hot air damages the fabric more than the dirt ever did.
When it helps and when it does not
For a piece that is otherwise sound and simply dulled, dusty or smelly, it almost always pays off — a fraction of the price of new furniture. Worn-through edges, damaged foam inside and a scorch mark from an iron are a different matter: they will be cleaned, but the wear stays visible. We say so on the spot before starting, not at the moment of payment.
When Pilsen books it
Most often in spring, when the flat can be aired wide open, and in June and September at changeover in the rentals around the university campus on Bory. Households with animals book a sofa once a year or so; mattresses run to the same interval, where the point is not stains but dust and mites.
How to prepare
Clear the space around the piece so it can be reached from every side, and take off bedding, throws and cushions. If the sofa folds out, say so in the order: the mechanism is opened and the inner side is cleaned too, which for a sofa that gets slept on is the main reason to have it done at all. Water, products and the machine come with us.
