Vnitřní Město is the historic core of Pilsen and a protected urban reserve: the ring of streets around Republic Square with St Bartholomew’s cathedral. Flats here are large, often over eighty square metres, with ceilings above three metres and windows that cannot be cleaned like ordinary plastic ones. Those three things decide how long cleaning in the centre takes.
High ceilings and staircases
Only some buildings have a lift, and where they do it was usually fitted into the stairwell afterwards, so it is narrow. Carrying equipment to the third floor is not charged extra, but it is worth putting the floor in the order so the team plans for it. For ceilings over three metres we bring telescopic extensions; without them the cobwebs in the corners stay where they are.
Box windows
Original box windows have two rows of sashes and are cleaned on four sides instead of two. We therefore count them as two windows — CZK 398 for one opening — and it is fairer to say so up front than after the work. In a flat with ten windows that is not a trivial sum, so in the centre it pays to combine window cleaning with a deep clean and get both in one visit; rates are in the window cleaning price list.
Short-term rentals
The centre has the most flats let by the night, and those jobs look different from cleaning a home: there are a couple of hours between check-out and check-in, and the order of work follows what the guest sees first. The slot is booked for an hour, not for half a day.
Price
The lowest order is CZK 959. A large flat in the centre usually costs more, because the price counts rooms and bathrooms — and tenement flats tend to have three or more. An extra hour is CZK 319. A regular interval takes 10 to 20 % off, see discounts.
Parking and access
The centre is a paid zone and some streets are pedestrian. The team parks nearby and brings the equipment on a trolley; there is no surcharge for that and it does not affect the slot. Please put the entrance code or the name on the bell in the notes — in a building with several tenants it saves ten minutes on the doorstep.
Neighbouring districts
We border Jižní Předměstí and, across the river, Slovany; the whole borough is on Pilsen 3.
Frequently asked questions about cleaning in the inner city
Why does a box window count as two?
Because it has two separate rows of sashes: four glass surfaces are cleaned instead of two, plus the space between them. The work takes about twice as long as an ordinary window and is priced accordingly. They are easy to spot: there is a gap of several centimetres between the inner and outer sash.
Will the team come up to a flat without a lift?
Yes, carrying equipment upstairs is not charged. Mention the floor in the order so it is taken into account when the day is planned — a fourth floor without a lift simply means longer preparation.
Can you clean between two guests?
Yes, short-term rentals have their own scope including a change of bed linen and restocking of consumables. The slot is agreed for a specific hour, not half a day, because the window between check-out and check-in is short.
